Many people contact us to see if we can network their office. The answer is YES.

We find ourselves being asked often if we can do something. We are…the Solution! is our slogan for a reason.

We remind people that we were the company that designed and built the largest private fiber optic network in South Carolina at the Village at Sandhill(www.villageatsandhill.com).

Our consultants could not find any other company that wished to place their workers on this project, so after we designed it, we then went to pulling wires! Every condo has internet access, every tenant is connected, every building tied together, and it all works flawlessly.

One other thing we created was a central phone system. Every office in the Village was on a single phone system that could transfer the call to anywhere else.

So if you accidently called the Condo Sales Office and you wanted Security, they just had to transfer you, not ask you to hang up and dial another number. How incredible is that?

We also did the same thing in Virginia at Towne Place at Greenbrier.

So remember, if you think BIG, think Cor Digital Technology, Media & Design. We do BIG!

Small Business Blog Marketing: What Does It Entail

Blog marketing can be quite complicated for anyone that has never even blogged before. If you are considering getting into small business blog marketing, you will want to first have a blog and see what that is like before you get into something more. Blogging requires dedication and patience. You have to update your blog on a regular basis in order to keep your readers happy. Doing so will keep them coming back for more and to see what you have new to say.

Small business blog marketing consists of blogging about your business. It definitely is a great tool that you should use to get your business out there and known by others. However, you will need to be patient because it is a long process that will require much of your attention. Just because you have a blog does not mean that someone is going to find it and read it. You are going to have to make it known. If you have a website for your business, you can link your blog to it and that will let the ones that know about your business and business website know about your blog as well.

Small business blog marketing is something that anyone can do. Having a blog and keeping it up to date with the latest information is not hard. All you need to have is a plan and you will be set to market any type of business from your blog. Whether you are selling a product or a service, it does not matter. A blog that is marketed the right way will be beneficial to any business whatever it might be.

So you are probably wondering how you are going to accomplish this small business blog marketing. When you are marketing a blog, you pretty much do it the same way that you would market a website. It is going to need keywords, and content. You can write the content yourself, or pay someone else to write it for you. That part is totally up to you. However you will want to be sure that the content is decent and something that your readers will want to read. This will keep them coming back. Make sure that the content is written from special keywords that you choose. You will also want to become familiar with SEO which is Search Engine Optimization. SEO will help you to optimize your blog to get a better ranking with the search engines.

Once you have chosen the keywords, and gotten some content published on your blog, you will be ready to get it out there some more. Link exchanges are wonderful for marketing your small business blog. You want to try and exchange links with sites that are relevant to yours, but not in direct competition. If you try to exchange links with sites in competition with yours, you are going to find that many of them will turn you down in fear of losing business to you.

Paid directories are a big part of small business blog marketing as well. You can pay some directories to list your blog URL in their directory under the specific category that it falls under. However, some of these even have specific qualifications that you must have to get in. Follow all of the application steps, and you should be ok. Just do not try to submit your blog to a directory that it does not qualify for, or fit in.

Another important thing to remember when you are into small business blog marketing is that if anyone leaves you a comment on your blog, you should acknowledge it and respond. You can also comment on other blogs that are relevant to yours, and leave a link to your blog as well. This will help bring in visitors to your blog, and you will begin to see more and more traffic.

Small business blog marketing is not rocket science, however someone that has never marketed a single thing before in their life may have problems. Just be persistent, and don’t give up.

4 Things You Need to know about Small Business SEO

SEO is a term that many business owners will have heard of but may not understand very well. As a business owner you need to know most importantly what SEO can do and why it is important to you and your business however at the same time you need to understand how it works. By understanding how SEO works you can make sure you are choosing an efficient and affordable SEO company and also know what to expect and when.

Here are the four main things you need to know about SEO

1. A definition of SEO

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, also it’s worth knowing that when talking about it you say the letters S.E.O rather than trying to pronounce SEO as a word. Search Engine Optimization is actually optimization of your website for the sake of search engine rankings: i.e. to make sure your website shows up high in results for relevant search terms that people are looking for. Also worth knowing when looking for a good affordable SEO company is the difference between On-page and Off-page SEO: On-Page SEO is what you do to the pages of your website to increase your search engine rankings. Off-Page SEO is things you do elsewhere such as building links to your website.

2. What SEO can do for your business

Search Engine Optimization comes under marketing but is an indirect way of getting traffic to your site, what SEO is good for though is getting targeted traffic to your website. SEO is compared to many types of marketing and even compared to other online marketing very affordable if you find the right affordable SEO company. The effects of SEO though do sometimes take some time to work and it is an effort driven activity mainly: though of course skill does come into it as well. SEO by making your website appear on Google and other search engines in the first few results for search terms that are highly relevant, and which a lot of people are looking , is a great way to promote your business: highly targeted and to people already searching for what you are offering.

3.Elements of On-Page SEO

Keyword research is important, some companies will try to get you to the top of search engines for the wrong keywords. A good value and affordable SEO company though will focus on keywords that are very relevant to your website’s individual pages, don’t have so much competition that you will never get to the top and do have plenty of traffic, if this research phase isn’t done you could just be wasting your money. These keywords are then put on to your website’s pages, ideally not too many on each page and repeated a few times on the pages they are on. These search terms tell Google that your website is related to what people are searching for. Also important for on-page SEO is that the pages of your site are well designed and easy for search engine’s software to read when they analyze your site.

4. Off-Page SEO- Link Building

Off page Search Engine Optimization comes down to link building almost purely. An affordable SEO company will ensure that you have plenty of links built from relevant websites that are well thought of by Google and other search engines themselves. A poor SEO company may build you a lot of poor quality links that could actually damage your website’s position.

The original Internet changed the way we work and live, and the way we interact with one another. We are now into the age of permission marketing and recommendation marketing. In other words, people will give you permission to market to them usually by recommendation from one of their peers.

When the original Internet came along, businesses like eBay and Amazon.com were quick to see the power of the online world, and those early adopters went on to become some of the most successful net residents. The same is sure to happen with the world of social media, and companies are already lining up to take advantage of this unique marketplace.

Unfortunately, myths and misinformation about the social media landscape and its business potential abound. Falling for one of these common myths could hurt your business, despite all you hear, it is not a get rich, get customers, get big quick kind of thing!

Let’s take a look at ten of the most common social media myths in the business world:

Social media is easy – any of your kids can start a website, but that does not mean building a social media presence is easy. Take the time to think out your social media strategy before you get started – your business is riding on it.

Social media is free – it is true that there is no charge to join most social media networks, but there are costs involved in establishing your business presence on those sites. How you look is important, so look for people who can help you establish a great presence from day one. What you must be aware of is your overall branding and “why” you are doing your business

Social media provides instant results – we have all heard the stories of the overnight YouTube sensations, or the new blog or website that makes a big splash. But those stories are the exception, not the rule. It takes time for social media to start working, and it pays to be patient.

Social media is all you need – social media sites like Facebook and YouTube work best when combined with other online presences like traditional websites and blogs. It is best to look at your social media presence as part of your overall online marketing plan.

If you build it they will come – one of the biggest mistakes businesses make is assuming that viewers will flock to their sites as soon as they are live. In the social media world it is not enough to build a great site or offer a great product. You need to market that product effectively, otherwise your potential customers might never even see it.

You can do everything yourself – while a web savvy employee might be able to get you online, your in-house staff might not be able to market your website or find the customers you need. Building a team of both in-house and external resources will help you make the most of your social media strategy.

You must establish a social media presence now – while it is certainly a good idea to bring your company into the Web 2.0 world, rushing to establish a presence can backfire. It is better to take your time and do it right than to rush in and have to fix your mistakes later.

Word of mouth advertising is not important – in many ways social media marketing is the ultimate word of mouth advertising, since it allows literally millions of people to share their likes and dislikes. But simply having a social media presence does not mean you can ignore traditional word of mouth advertising strategies.

Social media requires no maintenance – a social media site is not a set it and forget it proposition. You need to maintain your site and keep it fresh in order to get the most from it.

Social media is a broadcast medium – social media is much closer to a two way conversation than a one way broadcasting platform. Understanding the nature of the medium will help you make the most of it.

The brand or the mark consists of a set of visual tools for writing compelling, and the voice to represent the business plan and intentions of an organization. Brand management is the voice and image that represents your business plan with the outside world. What your company, products and support services for all should be captured in its brand strategy and consistently represented in all brand assets and marketing to date. The brand that carries this emotional connection is made up of many controllable elements of the trademark system, including both assets and the visual image and language assets. The process of brand management for the business plan is important not only in the situation of great change, “which requires the redefinition of the brand, but also in the management of marketing variables and routine tactic.

Brand…. Brand…Brand…..this message has made the concept of marketing due to changing consumer psychological. It’s not just the brand itself, but the personality that is attributed to any kind of mark. The war between brands of the same class has brought new revolutions in the field of brand management. Marketers are required to change the brand image in accordance with cultural sensitivity and the percolation of socio-ecological phenomenon through the brand is giving the brand a more modern look to match the desired characteristics.

Your brand, whether large or small, is constantly under attack and can be sunk in an immediate, particularly online. If you are a local dental products company or multi-national consumer sales, the importance of brand management can not be overlooked. Failing to stay on top of your brand and recognition of when and who is under attack can result in your brand is losing its credibility completely.

A brand that is not credible, or that the public does not trust, is a brand that is destined to survive. In one case, each brand was being attacked by its competitor, and the other the brand name was tarnished by acts of vandalism and its consequences.

The importance of brand management, either at home or abroad, is something to keep your eye on. If you are a small company, it is extremely easy for an irritated client to damage your status online in minutes. So instead of his good name is at the top of search engines, angry comments will come up. This is becoming more common these days as a way for consumers to turn to companies and people who have hurt, either rightly or wrongly.

When you are developing your marketing strategy and brand, you can not underestimate the importance of brand management and ensure that is always being watched, that their credibility is always in development, and that competitors are unable to attack for any reason.
